DVAM Arts! Arcata

For Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Humboldt Domestic Violence Services (HDVS) is curating a collection of artwork that explores themes of healing from trauma, domestic violence, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and identity as a survivor. All media and forms of expression are welcome! Local service providers will be tabling at the event so all can learn about what resources are available for survivors of abuse and violence in the community.
HDVS needs your art submission to make this showcase a reality! Pieces of art will be displayed during Arts Alive! in October at a location yet to be determined in Old Town Eureka. See the event: DVAM Arts Alive
The art will then be moved to Arcata and displayed Outer Space Arcata for Arts! Arcata.
Accepted art submissions will be returned to the artist at the end of October. Please email submissions to [email protected] with a description of how your work aligns with one or more of these themes. For performance art or music, please send audio or video if possible, or a detailed description of the piece.
