Streets Don’t Lie Street Art/Graffiti Showcase

Even in outer space we would make our mark! This Friday night for Arts Arcata June 2019 the walls will be covered with the work of a few dedicated artists to the wild style of getting up.
The artists all have their stories to tell. Their feel is present in each piece. There’s excitement in the colors and you can (almost) feel the (e)motion of the paint as it hit its canvas. Mesmerizing repetition. Bombardment of lines, bold and thin, and colors. There’s a realness there that even if some don’t get it some feel it. Come and get a chance to add your tag on this show and this art.
Quenten Wall of Sound will be saturating the space with sound. A wall of sound. Yup. That’s what it is… and you have to see it to feel it! With lots of loops and doops, from behind the wall Quenten Wall is pumping out the music to move you. Riffs that get your head bobbing and melodies you won’t forget. Come out and check out the space and see how the beautification process has been. The gift shop area will also be accessible, many local artists have things on display/sale here on a regular basis.
Outer Space Arcata is a collective run arts & music space that is doing it’s part to contribute to the community, please come and share your ideas with us for what kinds of things you’d like to see happen here. We’re really friendly and stuff. We’re all volunteers and we love having fun with y’all. You can also be a volunteer and take part in the collective. New members are always welcome!
